Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, I have been been married for 10 years to Lena and have 3 children: Logan, Izabel, and Lola... and our Alaskan Malamute, Maverick. They keep me plenty busy. Like myself, Logan is obsessed with sports and drawing. He even writes and illustrates his own sports books. Izabel is beautiful like her mom, but has her daddy's energy. She is extremely creative and has a talent for entertaining people. Lola keeps a smile on my face. Lena teaches 4 year olds at Southwest Christian Elementary. Currently, I teach Art 1, Art 2, Digital Photography 2 and AP Digital Photography at Aledo High School.
I graduated from Haltom High School where I played football, baseball, ran track and wrestled. While first attending college, I planned on being an art teacher. Life, however, led me in a different direction. I changed my major to business and nearly had to start over. After obtaining a degree in business from Northwood University and spending 6 years as an investment consultant, I wanted to get back to my real passion and have a meaningful impact on young people. I had many great teachers throughout my time in school that helped influence my decision to be a teacher.

I am currently working on my Master of Art Education (MAE) Degree at Texas Tech University and plan on graduating in December of  2017. In my little free time, I try to stay active in such activities as Crossfit, mud runs and coaching my son's baseball team. I am an avid hunter, fisherman, and fan of nearly every activity that involves the outdoors.

I hope you enjoy looking at my portfolio and all of the great talent of my students!
